GRU or Glavnoye Razvedyvatel'noye Upravleniye is the foreign military intelligence directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (formerly the Soviet Army General Staff of the Soviet Union). GRU is the English transliteration of the Russian acronym ГРУ, which stands for "Главное Разведывательное Управление", meaning Main Intelligence Directorate. The official full name translation is II Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Other name, GRU GSh (GRU Generalnovo Shtaba, i.e. "GRU of the General Staff").

The GRU is Russia's largest foreign intelligence agency.[1] In 1997 it deployed six times as many agents in foreign countries as the SVR, which is the KGB intelligence successor. It also commanded 25,000 Spetsnaz troops in 1997.[2]

The current GRU Director is Lieutenant General Alexander Shlyakhturov.[3]

The GRU was created on October 21, 1918 under the sponsorship of Leon Trotsky, who was then the civilian overseer of the Red Army;[4] it was originally known as the Registration Directorate (Registrupravlenie, or RU). Simon Aralov was its first head. In his history of the early years of the GRU, Raymond W. Leonard writes:

"As originally established, the Registration Department was not directly subordinate to the General Staff (at the time called the Red Army Field Staff — Polevoi Shtab). Administratively, it was the Third Department of the Field Staff's Operations Directorate. In July 1920, the RU was made the second of four main departments in the Operations Directorate. Until 1921, it was usually called the Registraupr (Registration Department). That year, following the Soviet-Polish War, it was elevated in status to become the Second (Intelligence) Directorate of the Red Army Staff, and was thereafter known as the Razvedupr. This probably resulted from its new primary peacetime responsibilities as the main source of foreign intelligence for the Soviet leadership. As part of a major re-organization of the Red Army, sometime in 1925 or 1926 the RU became the Fourth (Intelligence) Directorate of the Red Army Staff, and was thereafter also known simply as the "Fourth Department." Throughout most of the interwar period, the men and women who worked for Red Army Intelligence called it either the Fourth Department, the Intelligence Service, the Razvedupr, or the RU.[...] As a result of the re-organization [in 1926], carried out in part to break up Trotsky's hold on the army, the Fourth Department seems to have been placed directly under the control of the State Defense Council (Gosudarstvennaia komissiia oborony, or GKO), the successor of the RVSR.Thereafter its analysis and reports went directly to the GKO and Politburo, even apparently bypassing the Red Army Staff."[5]

It was given the task of handling all military intelligence, particularly the collection of intelligence of military or political significance from sources outside the Soviet Union. The GRU operated residencies all over the world, along with the SIGINT (signals intelligence) station in Lourdes, Cuba, and throughout the former Soviet bloc countries, especially in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

The first head of the GRU was Janis Karlovich Berzin, a Latvian Communist and former member of the Cheka, who remained in the post until 28 November 1937, when he was arrested and subsequently liquidated during Joseph Stalin's purges.

The GRU was well-known in the Soviet government for its fierce independence from rival power blocs, even the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) and KGB. At the time of the GRU's creation, Lenin infuriated the Cheka (predecessor of the KGB) by ordering it not to interfere with the GRU's operations. Nonetheless, the Cheka infiltrated the GRU in 1919. This planted the seed for a fierce rivalry between the two agencies, which were both engaged in espionage, and was even more intense than the rivalry between the FBI and CIA in America would be in a future time.

The existence of the GRU was not publicized during the Soviet era, although documents concerning it became available in the West in the late 1920s and it was mentioned in the 1931 memoirs of the first OGPU defector, Georges Agabekov, and described in detail in the 1939 autobiography (I Was Stalin's Agent) of Walter Krivitsky, the most senior Red Army intelligence officer ever to defect.[6] It became widely known in Russia, and the West outside the narrow confines of the intelligence community, during perestroika, in part thanks to the writings of "Viktor Suvorov" (Vladimir Rezun), a GRU agent who defected to Britain in 1978, and wrote about his experiences in the Soviet military and intelligence services. According to Suvorov, even the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union couldn't enter GRU headquarters without going through a security screening.

The GRU is still a very important part of the Russian Federation's intelligence services, especially since it was never split up like the KGB was.[3] The KGB was dissolved after aiding a failed coup in 1991 against the then Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. It has since been divided into the SVR (Foreign Intelligence Service) and the FSB (Federal Security Service).

According to the Federation of American Scientists: "...Though sometimes compared to the US Defense Intelligence Agency, [the GRU's] activities encompass those performed by nearly all joint US military intelligence agencies as well as other national US organizations. The GRU gathers human intelligence through military attaches and foreign agents. It also maintains significant signals intelligence and imagery reconnaissance and satellite imagery capabilities." [1] GRU Space Intelligence Directorate had put more than 130 SIGINT satellites into orbit. GRU and KGB SIGINT network employed about 350,000 specialists.[7]

According to GRU defector Kalanbe, "Though most Americans do not realize it, America is penetrated by Russian military intelligence to the extent that arms caches lie in wait for use by Russian special forces". He also described a possibility that compact tactical nuclear weapons known as "suitcase bombs" are hidden in the US[8][9] and noted that "the most sensitive activity of the GRU is gathering intelligence on American leaders, and there is only one purpose for this intelligence: targeting information for spetsnaz (special forces) assassination squads [in the event of war]". The American leaders will be easily assassinated using the "suitcase bombs", according to Lunev.[8] GRU is "one of the primary instructors of terrorists worldwide" according to Lunev[8] Terrorist Shamil Basayev reportedly worked for this organization.[10][11][12]

US Congressman Curt Weldon supported claims by Lunev but noted that Lunev had "exaggerated things" according to the FBI.[13] Searches of the areas identified by Lunev - who admits he never planted any weapons in the US - have been conducted, "but law-enforcement officials have never found such weapons caches, with or without portable nuclear weapons."[14]

During the 2006 Georgian-Russian espionage controversy, four officers working for the GRU Alexander Savva, Dmitry Kazantsev, Aleksey Zavgorodny and Alexander Baranov were arrested by the Counter-Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and were accused of espionage and sabotage. This spy network was managed from Armenia by GRU Colonel Anatoly Sinitsin, who also masterminded the terrorist act in the town of Gori in central Georgia on 1 February 2005. Few days later the arrested officers were handed over to Russia through the OSCE. [2].

GRU detachments from Chechnya were transferred to Lebanon independently of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon after the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict "to improve Russia’s image in the Arab world", according to Sergei Ivanov.[15] Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev was assassinated by two GRU officers. GRU officers have also been accused of creating criminal death squads.[16]

Dmitry Kozak and Vladislav Surkov from the Putin administration reportedly served in GRU.[3] Two Chechen former warlords Said-Magomed Kakiev and Sulim Yamadayev are commanders of Special Battalions Vostok and Zapad ("East" and "West") that are controlled by the GRU. Each battalion included close to a thousand fighters,[17] until their disbandment in 2008.

In 2002, Bill Powell wrote Treason,[18] an account of the experiences of former GRU colonel Vyacheslav Baranov. Baranov had been recruited by the CIA and agreed to spy for them, but was betrayed to the Russians by a mole in either the FBI or the CIA and spent five years in prison before being released. The identity of the mole remains unknown to this day, although speculation has mounted that it could have been Robert Hanssen.[citation needed]

Communism Today

These are the soft line Communists. They appear likable. But the facts of the matter are these:


1) Gorbachev was and is a formal member of the Communist Party.


2) Gorbachev was and is a KGB member. Note this: the KGB goes through name changes, they used to be the GPU and NKVD and then they became the KGB and then whatever is current. The name doesn't matter. The origin and purpose does. The origin is the Jewish dominated secret Kahal of the Communist east starting with the co-opting of the 1915 Russian Revolution transformed into the Communist Revolution and then in the following decades (the 1920's, 1930's, 1940's, 1950's etc. etc. etc,). Gorbachev, by the way is Jewish. They hold the reigns of power in Russia.


3) In 1984 there is the speech Gorbachev made to the Russian Communist Party in Moscow. It was recorded and made available in the west. Amazingly people just ignore it. In this speech he told the party chiefs not to worry about whatever he said or did in the west but to trust that he was a loyal party member and that what he was doing was only part of the final war on the west. Part of that act was all the disturbances in the U.S.S.R., especially in the Government in the last half of the 1980's. So they became Russia instead of the U.S.S.R. and let go of some of the poorest outlying provinces and allowed everyone to think that the Ukraine became independent (when all it would take to reunite the Ukraine and Russia is a phone call). Big deal. They have continued to develop their nuclear armaments and still export those to whoever they choose to.


4) Gorbachev, just before departing from Russia, was holding intense pan-synchretist religious gatherings. Communists aren't personally religious, but they don't hesitate to use religion for their own devious ends. That is a principle of the Communist war on the West established by the Italian Communist Antonio Gramsci many decades ago.


5) Gorbachev in his voluntary exile originally based his current operations in San Francisco and the East Coast in a collection of U. N. NGO based organizations and endeavors which are a collage of social/cultural/religious pan-world fusion of all systems synchretism. This is in keeping with the Gramscian model of subverting religion et al for Communist ends. Gorbachev's main base is the Gorbachev Foundation.




The further history of the KGB's agent provocateur at large -- Mikhail Sergheevich Gorbachev, former President of the USSR and current President of the International Green Cross (part of the Greens in Europe a Socialist Communist front that are very destructive in politics in Europe).


You will note this below in the mandates they operate by, they are serious: "It [the Gorbachev Foundation] decides, in an autonomous manner, directions to take regarding the development of both Russia and the rest of the world"

The Gorbachev Foundation, an organisation of socio-economic and political studies, was founded in January, 1992.


The official inauguration of the Foundation took place on March 3rd, 1992.


The founders of the Gorbachev Foundation were:


::. Mikhail Sergheevich Gorbachev, former President of the USSR and current President of the International Green Cross;

::. the National Branch of the International Foundation for Survival and Development (then presided over by the scholar Evgheni Velikhov);

The Gorbachev Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors. The President of the Council is Mikhail Gorbachev. The Vice-President is Irina Virganskaya (M. S. Gorbachev's daughter).


The Foundation is a non-profit organisation and does not operate under the auspices of any State government.


It decides, in an autonomous manner, directions to take regarding the development of both Russia and the rest of the world, in accordance with the laws of the countries in which it operates. Both body corporate and citizens of any class or condition of life are allowed to participate in the activities of the Foundation.


Branch offices of the Gorbachev Foundation currently exist in the USA, Germany, Italy, Holland, Canada and several other countries. They are all autonomous from an administrational point of view, yet closely linked to the headquarters in Moscow by common ideas and visions.


The Foundation also maintains ties with other organisations of the same type.


Although The Gorbachev Foundation started out in San Francisco this is where they migrated to at one point.

Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev said that the United States had become "non-democratic" and stressed that Washington should rely more on international institutions.



"The United States has to rely more on international institutions and public opinion and not only on its allies," state-run HINA news agency quoted Gorbachev as saying on a visit to Croatia.


"It means that the US has become a non-democratic country. We wish that the United States would use partnership as the best solution" for global issues, he said.


Gorbachev spoke at a conference on the reforms he had launched in the 1980s and which eventually led to the fall of the Iron Curtain separating eastern and western Europe.


The one-day meeting, held in the Croatian coastal town of Primosten, was focusing on 20 years of "perestroika" -- a program of democratic and economic reforms that Gorbachev started in the former Soviet Union.


It was attended by Croatian President Stipe Mesic, former French and Hungarian foreign ministers Roland Dumas and Janos Martonyi as well as ex-Romanian President Emil Constantinescu.


Former US president George Bush who was also invited addressed the participants through a video broadcast message.


Gorbachev's reforms known as perestroika first liberalized and eventually helped the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.


Gorbachev, who led the Soviet Union during the 1985-1991 period, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1990.


The point is this, a very strong bond has been resumed between Russia and Israel that had been a large basis of Israel's coming to power by war and bloodshed and pillage in the first place. That is Russian Communist support. That bond is there today. It is no problem for the Israelis to make sure they don't target Russia with their nuclear missiles. What this is heading for is: the United States spread way too thin, and a massive coalition of Russian lead countries attacking U.S. troops or interests or simply pushing us out of any influence anywhere, after the U.S. has wasted way too many resources in the Middle East and elsewhere and has removed a countries that would have never compromised with Israel; ...who knows how many others.

Keep An Eye On Gorbachev

I wanted to share a story/experience that seemed to come to my attention for a purpose. I know someone who has been attending Northeastern University in Boston for 2 years now. We visited this person several times during their first year there. Almost every time we were there Gorbachev was there, complete with his limo and motorcycle bodyguards. I mentioned that I thought that this was somehow strange but everyone kind of laughed at me and shrugged it off.
The next year this same Northeastern student e-mailed me and said " You know, Gorbachev is here alot, I wonder why? I looked up Gorbachev on the internet and found the Gorbachev Foundation, so I e-mailed them and said that I was curious as to why Gorbachev was at Northeasten all the time and what did he think of the One World Government?
I got a reply the next day which stated that the reason that Gorbachev was at NorthEastern all the time was because the University was the new headquarters of the Gorbachev Foundation and as to my second question they said they could not answer that. Before this Foundation moved to Northeastern it was located at the Presidio ( A Former Military Base ) in San Francisco.
Gorbachev is generally thought of in a postive way. After all, didn't he end Communism and isn't he promoting democracy and the saving of the environment? Gorbachev is a very charismatic personality and has U.S. officials, along with the public, eating out of his hand. Let me share with you some of his quotes and plans for the future of the world.
The following is a quote from Gary Kah's book " The New World Religion". " Among those at the forefront of this movement( Globalization) there is one individual who stands out more than any other. Believed by many to have fallen from the political scene with the collapse of the Soviet Union, he currently wields more power and influence in shaping the future of the world than perhaps any diplomat of our generation. Yet strangely, most of us are not even aware of his influence, let alone that he has risen to the top of the one world movement. His keen sense of timing and political prowess has enabled him to forge alliances where others before him have failed. His friends include many of the world's most adept politicians, financial powerbrokers and religious leaders. The person of whom I am speaking is Mikhail Gorbachev.
In 1989 Gorbachev was quoted speaking to the Politburo saying the following " In October 1917 we parted with the old world rejecting it once and for all. We are moving toward a new world, the world of communism. We shall never turn off that road." He also said "Gentlemen, comrades, do not be concerned about all you hear about glasnost and perestroika and democracy in the coming years. These are primarily for outward consumption. There will be no significant change within the Soviet Union, other than for cosmetic purposes. Our aim is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep." During 1989 when the Berlin wall came down he proclaimed " I am a convinced Communist. For some this may be a fantasy but for me it is my main goal"
Gorbachev's blueprint for the future is manipulating the world's people into accepting a one world government under the pretense of saving the environment. He has created a global Foundation called Green Cross which has as it's magna carta " The Earth Charter" which he hopes will rival the Ten Commandments. He is helping to initiate a complete restructuring of our economy,our political system and also our religious views. He has also been instumental in the scaling back of our armed forces while at the same time increasing the presence of foreign troops on our soil.
Gorbachev, Maurice strong and Al Gore are referred to as "The Three Musketeers" of the environmental movement. It appears that the environmental situation is being used along with instilling the fear of biological warfare in order to further the one world agenda. Gorbachev states " The environmental crisis is the cornerstone for the New World Order" Maurice strong ( U.N. environmental leader ) was quoted as saying, " Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn't it our responsibility to bring that about?" James Garrison ( President of the Gorbachev Foundation ) says " we are going to end up with world government. It's inevitable... There's going to be conflict, coercion and consensus. That's all part of what will be required as we give birth to the first global civilization."
Paul Erlich who wrote "The Population Bomb", writes " The first task is population control at home. How do we go about it? Many of my colleagues feel that some sort of compulsory birth regulation would be necessary to achieve such control. One plan often mentioned involves the addition of temporary sterilants to water supplies ofr staple food. Doses of the antidote would be carefully rationed by the government to produce the desired population size." Could this be one of the reasons for the malathion spraying and or the frequent chemtrails being sighted?
It seems that the West Nile virus outbreak along with the subsequent spraying may be achieving several agendas at once. It is very difficult to unravel it all but some of the goals involved may be sterilization, the weakening of our immune systems, money making schemes for pharmeceutical and pesticide companies, depopulation, and possibly creating a crisis situation so the public will become so fearful as to accept the solutions of those who have orchestrated the whole mess in the first place.
Martial law could be instituted at some point as the first step toward this One world Government. Of course this is only speculation but listen to another quote from Gary Kah. "Another reason why the environment is such an important issue to Gorbachev is that it will enable him to introduce and ratify comprehensive international treaties granting unprecedented power to seize government and private property all in the name of protecting the environment.
In fact, Gorbachev's mandate for the future includes the imposition of stringent global environmental laws that would regulate every area of life. Toward this end he has been supporting the creation of an all encompassing planetary document called "The Earth Charter". Samantha Smith, a journalist who attended "The State of the World Forum" confirms these developements. "At this conference we were told that an Earth charter, A Bill of Rights for the planet, would be presented to the United Nations for ratification then hopefully adopted by the year 2000.
According to Smith, Maurice Strong, the U.N's top environmental activist, referred to the charter as a Magna Carta for earth." Gorbachev goes even further, describing the charter as a new set of rules to guide humanity. He states "My hope is that this charter will be a kind of Ten Commandments, a Sermon on the Mount, that provides a guide for human behaviour toward the environment in the next century and betond." Gorbachev and the U.N. are simply waiting for the proper moment to implement any final agreements in order to begin full enforcement of their programs. Together with other major environmental legislation already drafted, the charter if accepted, will govern life in the 21st century." Samantha continued "
Gorbachev harped on the importance of having "consensus" for the Global Governance - where nations under world government would lose sovereignty, giving way to international laws that will dictate common beliefs, values, standards and behaviour, and conform to the consensus of a chosen group of leaders. The former head of Russia's communist party has selected 100 elite "innovative thinkers" called the Global Brain Trust or The Council of the Wise, who will meet annually at the Presidio ( probably now they will meet at Northeastern ) to guide global issues during the transition into the next century."
Gorbachev spoke in Indiana in 1996 saying " We need a new paradigm of developement in which the environment will be a priority... World Civilization as we know it will soon end...we have very little time and we must act...If we can address the environmental problem we have hope,,, but it will have to be done with a new system,a new paradigm...We have to change our mindset, the way humankind views the world"
Considering the mess that Gorbachev left Russia in, including the Chernobyl disaster, we should question his true concern for the environment. Adverse events and appearances of many new diseases seem to be escalating. I feel the need is urgent to postpone some of our individual causes and join together to address the largest issue which may be the takeover of the world.
For example, I am a Chronic Lyme disease patient and activist. I have been observing that the Lyme disease political situation is getting worse instead of better despite many who are working very hard trying to get issues solved through the proper government channels. Unless we uncover the basic agenda, which is one of massive control, we will continue to be blocked in our individual efforts for justice, health and freedom. Have Americans fallen asleep? Has Gorbachev's goal been accomplished? Yes the environment has it's problems and they need to be addressed but is it really necessary to relinquish our nation's sovereignty to some " Council of the Wise " which we have had no say in the formation of?

Gorbachev is generally thought of in a positive way. After all, didn't he end Communism and isn't he promoting democracy and the saving of the environment? Gorbachev is a very charismatic personality and has U.S. officials, along with the public, eating out of his hand. Let me share with you some of his quotes and plans for the future of the world.

In 1989 Gorbachev was quoted speaking to the Politburo saying the following " In October 1917 we parted with the old world rejecting it once and for all. We are moving toward a new world, the world of communism. We shall never turn off that road." He also said "Gentlemen, comrades, do not be concerned about all you hear about glasnost and perestroika and democracy in the coming years. These are primarily for outward consumption. There will be no significant change within the Soviet Union, other than for cosmetic purposes. Our aim is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep." During 1989 when the Berlin wall came down he proclaimed " I am a convinced Communist. For some this may be a fantasy but for me it is my main goal"

COMMUNIST GOALS (1963)
1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states....

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities. [done]

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.
